Principal's Message

Welcome Back!

Dear Schrum Family,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at Schrum Memorial Middle School! We are excited to begin this journey with you and your child, and we look forward to the many opportunities for learning, growth, and success that lie ahead.

At Schrum, we believe in the power of purpose—every student has unique strengths, talents, and potential waiting to be developed. Our dedicated staff is committed to fostering an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their best.

This year, we will continue to emphasize the critical attributes that guide our work with students: growth mindset, perseverance, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, resiliency, and effective communication. These skills are essential not only for academic success, but also for preparing our students to thrive in life beyond middle school.

We recognize that strong partnerships with families are the foundation for student success. We encourage you to stay involved, stay connected, and continue to be an active part of your child’s educational journey. Together, we can ensure that every student feels valued, empowered, and prepared for the future.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. We look forward to an exciting year filled with growth, learning, and achievement.

We would also like to invite you to our Back to School Fair on Saturday, August 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Fest will take place at Hoover and on our District grounds.

With appreciation,

Natalie Bako

Principal
