Grandparent's Day Information

Dear Parents and Families,

We are excited to welcome you to our Grandparents Day Program on Wednesday, September 23rd!

The program will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Please plan to arrive on time. For the safety and security of our students and staff, guests will not be permitted to enter the building before 8:30 a.m.

Parking Information

Guests may park in the teachers’ parking lot.
Once all buses have completed student drop-off, guests may also park along the horseshoe.
Our School Resource Officer (SRO) will be outside to assist and direct guests to the available parking areas.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work to ensure a safe and organized arrival for everyone. We look forward to celebrating this special day with our grandparents and families!

Erin's Law

Dear Parents and Families,

On Thursday, September 24th, our students will participate in an Erin’s Law presentation. Erin’s Law provides age-appropriate lessons that teach children about personal safety, boundaries, recognizing unsafe situations, and identifying trusted adults they can turn to for help.

Parents who have chosen not to have their child participate have already been identified. Those students will be supervised in a separate location with an appropriate activity until the presentation is completed.

Hoover Dress Code

Below are the dress codes the students at Hoover Elementary School must follow:

All shorts and skirts must be to the student's knee
No flip-flops or sandals
No tank tops or belly shirts
No sleeveless shirts
No ripped pants above the knee
Students wearing leggings must have their shirt covering their buttocks
No Crocs or simular shoes

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Arrival

Breakfast is from 7:15 am to 7:50 am. All students eating breakfast should be here on time to eat breakfast. If your student brings breakfast, they will have to eat it in the cafeteria so please make sure you are here by 7:50 am. Door 3 will close by 8:00 am.

Students should come through Door 1 once the doors are closed. Students are tardy after 8:10 am.

If students are going to be absent, the parents can leave a voice message on the school telephone system.

If a parent wants to speak with an administrator, they can make an appointment or come after 8:30. We will not be available until then.

Parents should not park in front of the school, get out of their cars, and take their students to the door. Hoover School has a release & leave process. Thank you for understanding.

Dismissal:

1st: Bus Riders 2:35 pm (Door 2 & 4)

2nd: Walkers/Van Riders 2:40 pm (Door 3)

3rd: 3rd - 5th grade Car Riders 2:43 pm (Door 5)

4th: Kindergarten - 2nd grade Car Riders 2:45 pm (Door 5)

Half Day Dismissal:

1st: Bus Riders 12:00 pm (Door 2 & 4)

2nd: Walkers/Van Riders 12:05 pm (Door 3)

3rd: 3rd - 5th grade Car Riders 12:07 pm (Door 5)

4th: Kindergarten - 2nd grade Car Riders 12:10 p.m. (Door 5)
